It seems that haven’t been post for a long time now. So here it goes a brief news update.
First of all, I have a new job - I’m working as Network Enginner in Sonaecom in Access and Transmission Engineering group.
Other good news is that Benfica won against the city rivals Sporting 2 - 0. I was on the stadium and I must say it was one of the amazing games I ever watched live.
And now for something completely different, here goes a reading sugestion: If you are geek enough, you should read this lengthy article sent by a friend of mine (thanks Nuno). It’s about the famous Moore’s law. It’s a great way to learn a little more about the Moore’s law, processor’s manufacturing proccess and options taken by manufacturer’s.
I’ll try to keep a tigher posting agenda.

First of all, I would like to point out that Benfica did a pretty good in the Champions League, obtaining 0-0 against what I think it is one of the best teams in the world. I’m glad that I went to Estádio da Luz to see the match. Overcoming Barcelona is going to be very difficult, but at least it is still possible. Ah, those who don’t like him, Moretto rules!
News from the open source world: check prism54g project if you own a wireless card based on Conexant chipset. The goal is to write a completly open source firmware in such way that it will be possible to run your wireless station on 100%-free software.
It seems that Apple has sued Apple. The fuss is all about, as you can imagine, the bitten or not bitten apple. Apple Corp, the record label that protects the Beatles music heritage, is sueing Apple Computer for the misusage of the apple trademark in music business. Funny story, check details here.

XML is kinda nice. I’m doing a XML version of my CV and using XSLT to transform it into something good looking. My first steps are now visable in this page. Of course it’s not complete, just a small experiment by now. I also plan to do a transformation to PDF, which, as you can imagine is very handy.
And now, for something completly unrelated, I have to announce that I won the weekend match in hattrick by two goals and I am now placed in third in V division (out of 9).
One hour for the 1/4 century age! Urray!
Over and out.
